Slip & Fall

Thousands of people are injured each year in slip and fall accidents, but who is to blame? Whether it’s a slip and fall on a wet floor in a supermarket or an uneven pavement on the ground. Insurance companies are more likely to pay thousands of dollars on huge claims unless an investigator can obtain evidence to contradict the person’s claim.

There are two types of slip and fall fraud scenarios lingering throughout the country. The first type of claim is a staged claim. This particular claim is when an individual plans a slip and fall. There have been many occasions where the subject would spill something on the floor at the supermarket and would intentionally throw him or herself on the ground and scream for help. There have also been incidents that a person would place an object on the ground at a store and throw himself or herself on the ground as well and fake the fall.

The second type of slip and fall fraud is an actual slip and fall, but would exaggerate the injuries that occurred. For example, the person that fell actually injured his or her back, but stated that they injured his or her back, leg, arm & head in order to receive a bigger pay out.

Both types of slip and falls are equivalently fraud. Eyes on You Investigations, Inc. assist insurance companies and law firms to acquire the evidence needed to deny such claims. All potential fraud cases are carefully monitored and sent to our intelligence division for field investigations.
